Wanted Staunton Man Arrested on Firearm, Eluding Charges

A man already wanted for eluding officers in Waynesboro and Augusta County has been arrested, after another pursuit.

Augusta deputies took 27-year-old Christopher Woods of Staunton into custody after a brief foot chase. It happened along Richmond Road in Staunton just before noon Wednesday.

Woods faces half a dozen charges, including felony eluding and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Many of them are related to a car chase early Christmas morning.
