Breweries and wineries in Nelson County are giving back to a pair of nonprofits during the Twelve Days of Christmas.
From the day after Christmas until January 6, members of the Nelson 151 group donate a portion of their profits to the Blue Ridge Medical Center and Nelson County Food Pantry. The 151 businesses raised about $6,000 last year.
Veritas Vineyard & Winery hosted the fourth day of Christmas Saturday.
"We're asking people to donate, whatever they don't donate we'll make up until where we were last year and hopefully we'll get more this year than we did last year," said Andrew Hodson, the Veritas Vineyard & Winery owner.
The group hopes to continue to build on the tradition, which started last year.
The fifth day of Christmas will be held at Pollak Vineyards on Sunday.
