The Virginia Tech football team will play in a bowl game for the 20th year in a row Friday, as the Hokies take on Rutgers in Orlando.
But will the Russell Athletic Bowl be the last game for junior quarterback Logan Thomas?
The most talented NFL-eligible college football players always have that question to answer at this time of year.
Thomas threw for 2,783 yards and 17 touchdowns this year, and also led the team with 528 yards rushing and nine TD's.
The junior QB said he was leaning towards returning to Virginia Tech for his senior season next year, but did file paperwork with the NFL's draft advisory board to gauge where he might be selected in the draft.
"I don't think I could go in and start an NFL game now and be fine, and come out with a win," says Thomas. "I think I need some work to be done, but that comes with practice."
Thomas is ranked as one of the top-5 eligible quarterbacks, and a possible first-round selection.
Virginia Tech and Rutgers square off in the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando Friday at 5:30 pm.
