The Haven provided a special Christmas meal to Charlottesville's homeless. People were treated to breakfast and dinner Tuesday.
More than a dozen volunteers helped prepare a traditional meal along with dessert.
Organizers say they know this time of year can be especially rough being away from family, so they wanted to provide an atmosphere where people could still participate in a Christmas tradition.
"The Haven is celebrating Christmas, by a lot of it is just being open, and saying 'Merry Christmas' as you walk in the door and welcoming people into the warmth of being inside. They were treated to a delicious breakfast this morning - bacon, sausage, and eggs," said Development Coordinator Gabe Ofiesh.
Charlottesville grocery stores donated the food to make Tuesday's meals possible.
