An illuminating display will be the focus of an event at Piedmont Virginia Community College Friday night.
"Let There Be Light" is put on by the college's visual arts department. Thousands of exhibits from regional artists will pepper PVCC's campus.
This will be the free event's sixth year.
"Magic. It's magic. It's an opportunity for enchantment and magic and it's free of course which is a golden thing so they can come in to the main building and get a map and a flashlight or bring a flashlight," said event organizer Beryl Solla.
Hot chocolate, cider and banana bread will be provided, as well as flashlights for people to navigate in the dark. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
