Greene County Public Schools Superintendent Resigns

Greene County Public Schools Superintendent David Jeck is stepping down.

Jeck turned in a voluntary resignation to the school board Wednesday night.  His last day on the job is May 10, 2013.

Jeck will become the new Fauquier County superintendent.

The Greene County School Board will begin meeting in early 2013 to determine the plans and process for picking out a new superintendent.

At tonight's meeting of the Greene County School Board the board unanimously voted to accept the voluntary resignation of Superintendent Dr. David C. Jeck.  Dr. Jeck's resignation is effective May 10th, 2013.  The Board recognizes and appreciates Dr. Jeck's commitment to improving the school division during his tenure.

The School Board will begin meeting in early 2013 to determine the plans and process for identifying a new superintendent.
