It's the same building, but a different office for the United Way of Greater Augusta. The organization moved in to a newer, larger space in the same building along Jefferson Highway in Fishersville.
Its new location is not only bigger but more accessible for the handicapped. United Way of Greater Augusta Director Cynthia Pritchard says this location gives them more opportunities to serve the community.
"We gain the ability to increase the capacity of services that we can provide across the region. From training and development space for nonprofits, community space for things like our volunteer center, and the ability to provide space for nonprofits that currently don't have office space and need a place to function out of," she said.
United Way is the volunteer center for 100 nonprofits across the region.
