A Staunton man is in jail after he admitted to sexually assaulting a fellow resident of his nursing home.
Charles Richard Williams, 70, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of sexual battery. A plea agreement calls for him to serve 12 months in jail.
Williams was living at Envoy of Staunton nursing home when he assaulted the 71-year-old-victim.
Prosecutors say the victim suffered from dementia, and had no memory of the crime but a nurse at the facility called police.
