A crash involving two vehicles backed up morning rush traffic on Route 29 in Albemarle County Tuesday morning.
The crash happened just before 7:00 at the intersection of Route 29 and Rio Road.
Crews used the "Jaws of Life," an emergency rescue tool, to cut a woman from one of the wrecked vehicles. She was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a service truck, was not injured.
