Old Saint Nick made an early stop at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Albemarle County Sunday. Hospital employees and their children got to meet Santa Claus and take pictures with him.
Kids could make gingerbread houses and decorate them with all kinds of holiday treats.
"I made icicles, well the lady made icicles, and I did an M&M door and pathway and gumdrops on the roof and the window," said 10-year-old Ivy Williams.
Once the gingerbread houses were complete, the kids got to take them home to use as holiday decor. They also enjoyed snacking on pieces of the homes while decorating.
The group made more than 60 gingerbread houses.
