Lynchburg Ex-Teacher Gets Jail Time for Sex with 16-Year-Old

A former coach and teacher in Lynchburg will spend three months behind bars for having a sexual relationship with a teen.

George Weston Katze pleaded no contest to charges of taking indecent liberties with a minor and having consensual sex with a minor.

Prosecutors say the former Jefferson Forest High School teacher had two sexual encounters with a 16-year-old girl who was a student at the school but not in any classes Katze taught.
