Company Based in Waynesboro Makes Reduction to Workforce

A Waynesboro-based communications company is making a modest reduction to its workforce.

Lumos was formed just last year. It handles landline telephone, cable television and internet operations that used to be under the nTelos banner.

A spokesman for Lumos said Wednesday that the company is offering early retirement incentives for employees between now and the end of the year. The voluntary program has had about 30 employees sign up so far.
