Three Injured After Car Hits Brown's Collision Center
Three employees are recovering from minor injuries, after a car ran into Brown's Collision Center off Seminole Trail around 11:30 Monday morning.
Albemarle County Fire & Rescue says the driver brought her car in for service when she became startled upon approaching the building, and accidentally hit the accelerator.
"The car was pulling into the building to be serviced. There's a hose that opens the building when the tires roll over it. That opened the door up and that sort of confused the driver. She hit her accelerator crashing through the bay door and into an interior wall," said Captain Ed Fisher of the Albemarle County Fire & Rescue.
The injured employees were taken to the hospital. The building was evacuated and remained closed until an engineer could assess the damage. Brown's Collision Center is back open for business.
