The end of the year is right around the corner and that means it's time to sort out the city of Charlottesville's budget.
Charlottesville Mayor Satyendra Huja says they have more revenue than projected this year. He says there will be a $3.8 million surplus.
At Monday night's city council meeting, councilors will discuss what to do with the remaining money.
"We're suggesting that we use most of it, of $3.8 million or $3 million, for capital improvement projects, one-time expenditures, one-time expenses, because ongoing expenses you have to keep on every year paying for them," Huja said.
Huja says some of the capital improvement project ideas include working on streets, parking, and sewer and drainage.
