Knight Sentenced for Role in Waynesboro Shooting

A young woman will serve jail time for helping her boyfriend escape from police after a shooting in Waynesboro.

24-year-old Ashley Nicole Knight had pleaded guilty to three charges, including accessory to a felony. A judge has ordered her to serve 12 months in jail.

Prosecutors say she drove a stolen car to West Virginia last April to help Samuel Kevin Bridge avoid being arrested for shooting a man outside the Quadrangle Apartments.
