Charlottesville Police Ask for Help Locating Wanted Man

Update:  According to Charlottesville police, Mr. Stinnie turned himself in at police headquarters Friday morning without incident. 


Charlottesville police are asking for your help locating a wanted man.

Sidney Stinnie is wanted on malicious wounding, gun and drug charges in connection to a shooting on Monday along the 1,000 block of Page Street.

Stinnie is described as a 29-year-old black male with brown eyes and brown hair.  He is 5'8'' tall, and weighs 140 pounds.   He has 'sidkid' and 'west-side' tattoos on his upper forearms, and a 'S&S' tattoo on his neck.

Police say he is considered armed and dangerous, so do not approach him; if you encounter Stinnie, call 911 immediately.

Anyone with any information should call Detective Godfrey at 434-970-3280 or Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.  A reward is being offered through Crime Stoppers.
