Congressman Bob Goodlatte will lead one of Congress's most influential committees in January.
Sixth District Congressman Goodlatte (R) was elected Wednesday to chair the House Judiciary Committee. He says the committee has its work cut out for it when the new Congress convenes in January—work that includes protecting the rights of Virginians.
"Making sure that we have complete protection of our civil liberties and at the same time are working to make sure people are safe in their homes and their communities," said Goodlatte,
Goodlatte has been a member of the Judiciary Committee since his first term in Congress in 1993.
