Court of Appeals Rules on Eric Abshire Petition

Convicted murderer Eric Abshire's motion to set aside his conviction has been denied. Abshire was convicted of the 2006 murder of his wife Justine in Orange County.

An appeals court judge has denied a motion to set aside the verdict because he says there was sufficient evidence to support the jury's guilty verdict.

Abshire's lawyers have 14 days to ask for a three judge appeals panel to hear his request for appeal.
