Police Investigate I-64 School Bus Accident

Albemarle County Police are investigating a multiple-vehicle accident on Interstate 64 eastbound at the 5th Street exit. The accident happened Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.

Police say five vehicles were involved, including an Albemarle County school bus. Police tell us no children were on the bus.

One person was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

Two lanes were closed as police investigated the accident.

The cause is still under investigation.
