Posted: Updated:

Albemarle County Police are asking for your help identifying the man highlighted  in these surveillance photos. Police believe he is the suspect in an attempted abduction at Fashion Square Mall on Saturday around 2:00 p.m.

Police say a 2-year-old girl was walking with her parents near Central Court when a man came up from behind and picked her up.  The girl's father ran after him and got his daughter back. Investigators say mall security escorted the suspect off the property, but failed to contact police.

If you saw this happen, recognize the man in the photos or have any information about the incident, call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
