A Charlottesville family is decking more than the halls this holiday season.
They've filled their yard in the 1300 block of Quarry Road in Belmont with lights and holiday characters, and they're inviting the whole community to come over and celebrate the season.
They have 100 balloon characters—like Santa and the Peanuts—and thousands of lights. Jeffrey Norford has been decorating his house this way since 2000. He says every year it grows and more and more people line up to see the lights.
"My godkids wanted lights and we started putting out little lights and every year they wanted more lights. So we just kept going and going so it got crazy in about 2000. And now they're grown and they bring their kids back," Norford said.
Norford even has some special guests for folks to meet: Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus.
Santa Claus will be there every night until Christmas from 6:00 to 10:00, and the lights will be up through January 6.
