Aboushi and Greer Honored as First-Team All-ACC

Posted: Updated:

Cavalier offensive lineman Oday Aboushi and linebacker Steve Greer were named first team All ACC, Monday.

Jake McGee, Demetrious Nicholson and La'Roy Reynolds were named honorable mention selections.

The Cavaliers had a shot at beating Virginia Tech on Saturday for their stellar defensive play.

The 'Hoos held Tech to just 300 total yards which is almost 100 yards below their season average.

La'Roy Reynolds had 15 tackles.

Steve Greer had a career high 19 tackles and 9 of those were solo stops.

Monday, Greer was named the ACC linebacker of the week for his performance against the Hokies.

Reynolds and Greer never experienced a win over tech - but still had tremendous careers.

Greer finishes the season with 122 total tackles.

Aboushi has also earned an early selection to the 2013 Senior Bowl roster. This nod acknowledges him as one of the top players in the country at his position.
