On November 26, Likewise Skincare releases a reaction statement to an article published by Natural News about the use of Oregon grape root in treating psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a skin condition that results in itchy, scaly skin. According to new findings, this condition can be treated with a chemical found in Oregon grape root, or Mahonia aquifolium, which “is a tall, flowering shrub that grows in abundance in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States,” reports Natural News.

The article went on to state that a chemical called berberine – which is found inside the plant – can be applied to the skin in order to treat the symptoms of psoriasis.
According to the article, treatment is easy and can actually be used in the form of a tea or tincture as well. The article added that Oregon grape root can also be used to treat “constipation, bloating, and other intestinal issues.”
