A holiday artisan showcase pulled in small business shoppers on the downtown mall Saturday. Studio Baboo hosted the showcase full of crafts and jewelry from local designers.
Displays were packed with homemade quilts, Christmas decorations, necklaces, earrings and charms. Judges selected designers for the showcase based on how unique their products were.
Studio Baboo owner Terri Gable said, "We try to keep our selections unique and small and we really go to great lengths to find things that you cannot get at the big box stores and big national chains, so that's part of the shop small mentality, so to speak."
The owner of the shop says it was the first time she put on the event and was surprised how many people came in to check out the show.
