Charlottesville High School is teaming up with Sexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA) to fight against sexual violence.
SARA set up at Barnes and Noble in Charlottesville Saturday afternoon to promote sexual violence awareness. For every person that mentioned SARA when checking out, a portion of Saturday's CHS Book Fair sales will benefit the organization.
Rachel Smith, an outreach coordinator at SARA stated, "This can be a particularly difficult time of year for folks sometimes who are survivors, spending time with family or kind of having those memories come up, so we want people to know they can contact us anytime."
A childhood educator from SARA was at the bookstore to teach children ways to stay safe and set boundaries with people they do not know well.
