Monticello is rolling back admission to $5 for five days in December to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its designation as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site.
The 1987 price for a general admission ticket will be in effect from Dec. 7 to Dec. 11. The reduced price isn't applicable to group or special tours, workshops, programming or premium ticketed events.
Thomas Jefferson's plantation and the University of Virginia's Academical Village were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site together in December 1987.
