Cox Chiropractic Clinic & Walmart Team Up for Turkey Giveaway - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

Charlottesville churches have hundreds of frozen turkeys to hand out to hungry families this Thanksgiving, thanks to a medical office's donation.

The Cox Chiropractic Clinic of Charlottesville teamed up with Walmart for the "Abundance of Turkeys Giveaway."  Seafood @ West Main donated its refrigerated truck to keep the 200 turkeys cold during Saturday afternoon's pickup.

Brianna Valdez with the Cox Chiropractic Clinic of Charlottesville said, "Some of these turkeys are going to homeless shelters, some are going to nursing homes and some are going to families and churches that can't afford or don't have the means to buy a turkey this Thanksgiving."

Seven different churches picked up turkeys Saturday to distribute to members in the community.
