College Signing Day

Charlottesville natives, Allie Nicholson, Joe Burris, Will Eppard and Miles Davis all signed national letters of intent to play college ball Friday.

Albemarle high school baseball standout, Joe burris committed to play at Virginia Tech.

Burris had a great junior season last year. As a pitcher - he had a 1.09 era and a record of 6-2.

Burris batted .459 with 12 doubles and 4 home runs.

He grew up a Hokie fan and said this is a dream come true.

Burris said, "Its just amazing. Always been my dream since I was a little kid. Just amazing that its finally coming true. All the hard work is finally paying off. They're headed in the right direction, Coach Hughes is doing a lot of stuff and I like where its headed and I hope to go to Omaha with them."

Three students at Saint Anne's Belfied signed Friday as well.

Allie Nicholson signed with the University of Virginia for rowing.

Will Eppard signed with Stevens University for lacrosse.

Eppard's teammate on the lacrosse team, Miles Davis, signed with St. Joseph's University.

Davis was STAB's leading scorer last season as a junior. He netted 34 goals and dished out 24 assists.

Davis had offers from several division one schools but chooses St. Joe's in Philadelphia.
