Augusta Treasurer's DUI Trial Delayed

Augusta County's treasurer will have to wait a month longer for a charge of drunk driving to be resolved.

In early October, state police stopped 61-year-old Richard Homes along Interstate 81 near Harrisonburg. The trooper reported seeing him driving slowly and erratically.

Homes was charged with a first offense DUI. His case was scheduled for trial Thursday, but has been delayed until December 27.

Homes is in his third term as Augusta County's elected treasurer.
