A travel advisory is out for those flying the friendly skies out of Charlottesville. The airport authority says people flying in the early morning need to start arriving at least 90 minutes before departure.
The issue is in the morning when five flights depart within a 45-minute window. Officials say anyone with a flight between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. needs to plan ahead and allow extra time to process through parking, ticketing and the security checkpoint.
The advisory is in effect until further notice but is especially important over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The airport terminal opens at 3:30 in the morning and airline ticket counters will open by 4:15 a.m.
