The new Trader Joe's at The Shops at Stonefield in Albemarle County is ready for Wednesday's lei-cutting ceremony.
Other stores cut ribbons at grand openings, but not Trader Joe's. The island-nautical themed grocery store cuts a lei when a new store opens. After months of anticipation, the store's captain says shoppers will love the prices.
"People are going to be amazed at our prices, because of the way we do business, we deal directly with the manufacture on our products, so we have some amazing price points that a lot of customers are going to be surprised at," said store captain Philip Lockard.
Trader Joe's will be open for business Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.
