Harrisonburg Police Arrest Robbery Suspects

NEWS RELEASE

On October 28, 2012, the Harrisonburg Police Department took a report of a robbery in the 1300 Block of Hunters Road in the City of Harrisonburg.  The victim(s) reported they were lured into the breezeway of an apartment complex in the area of the 1300 Block of Hunters Road and once there; were approached by two males, both of whom were armed, and were robbed.

On November 7, 2012, investigators, patrol officers, and special operations officers executed a search warrant in the 1300 Block of Hunters Road in relation to the investigation of the robbery.  Clothing, firearms, ammunition, documentation, and electronic devices were recovered during the search warrant. 

On the night of November 7, 2012, the Harrisonburg Police Department arrested four individuals in relation to the robbery.  Those arrested are: 

James David
Harrisonburg, VA
21 years of age

  • 18.2-22- Conspiracy to commit robbery, Felony (2 counts)
  • 18.2-58- Robbery , Felony( (2 Counts)  

Jacary Moore
Harrisonburg, VA
23 years of age

  • 18.2-22- Conspiracy to commit robbery, Felony (2 Counts)
  • 18.2-308.20 Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Felony

Tara Hodgins
Harrisonburg, VA
18 years of age

  • 18.2-18- Principal in the 2nd degree to robbery, Felony (2 counts)
  • 18.2-22- Conspiracy to commit robbery, Felony (2 Counts) 

Renita Wright
Harrisonburg, VA
19 years of age

  • 18.2-18- Principal in the 2nd degree to robbery, Felony (2 counts)
  • 18.2-22- Conspiracy to commit robbery, Felony (2 Counts) 

This investigation continues and additional charges are pending.
