The UVa men's soccer team will play Lafayette in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Thursday at 1:30pm at Klockner Stadium.
Virginia earned at at-large bid with a 9-6-4 record. Lafayette got an automatic bid as winner of the Patriot League. Lafayette has a record of 9-7-4. Virginia is in the NCAA Tournament for the 32nd straight year.
"We are excited to be playing in our 32nd straight NCAA tournament," Virginia head coach George Gelnovatch said. "We are happy to be at home for our first game and playing in front of our home fans. The first round will be a tough test with Lafayette, the Patriot League champions. With the youth of our team and the toughness of our schedule and the form we've been in lately, we are glad to be playing and feel good going into the playoffs."
