Hartzell CTO Appointed to AMCA Board

Piqua, Ohio (PRWEB) November 11, 2012

Tom Gustafson, Chief Technology Officer at Hartzell Air Movement, was appointed to the Board of Directors of AMCA International at their Annual Meeting on October 19, 2012. Prior to being appointed to the board, Tom served on numerous committees at AMCA International and is an expert in the air movement industry.

The Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) is a not-for-profit international association of air system equipment manufacturers — primarily fans, louvers, dampers, and air curtains used in commercial buildings and industrial processes. AMCA’s mission is to promote the health, growth and integrity of our industry, consistent with the public interest. AMCA International is a valuable resource and a strong means of self-regulation for the air moving industry.

Tom has worked for Hartzell for 24 years and has many accomplishments. Prior to his most recent position, he served as VP of Engineering for 18 years. He was the champion of the design concept for the one-piece solid fiberglass wheel and was the principal author of our most recent patent, which reduced the sound levels on our adjustable pitch low pressure prop. Sean Steimle, Hartzell President, comments on Tom’s appointment to the AMCA Board, “Tom has served a leadership role at Hartzell for a number of years. His industry knowledge and reputation will be a tremendous asset to the AMCA International Board and the industrial air moving industry.”

Hartzell Air Movement is a leading manufacturer of industrial air moving solutions to a variety of markets throughout the world. The company manufactures in Ohio, Indiana, and Singapore. Hartzell has been in business since 1875.
