Waynesboro & Augusta Officers Search for Abduction Suspect

A manhunt by Waynesboro police and Augusta County deputies failed to track down an abduction suspect.

Ronnie Lee Farris, 29, faces three charges in Augusta. He's accused of assaulting his girlfriend, holding her against her will, and stealing her car.

Deputies and police responded to a pair of possible sightings in Waynesboro, starting around 4:00 Thursday afternoon. Officers and tracking dogs were unable to find Farris.

Police say Farris may be armed.
