News Gazette Press Release
ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT WARNING: A warning has been issued by the Rockbridge County Sheriff's Office concerning a white female selling kitchenware door-to-door in areas including Natural Bridge and Timber Ridge. The woman is driving a white van with tinted windows and Florida license plates and is accompanied by at least two black males. Sheriff Chris Blalock warned the woman is "extremely pushy" about getting into people's home. "Do not let them into your home," Blalock cautioned. The concern from law enforcement officials is that the sales pitch is a diversion intended to distract residents while items are stolen from the home. Residents are asked to call the sheriff's office at 463-7328 if the peddlers visit their homes.
Thank You, Corporal Derek Almarode Augusta County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit
