New Location Serves Lunch, Features New Design and Expanded Menu

Charlottesville, VA (November 6, 2012) – The Outback Steakhouse at Albemarle Square will be closing its doors at 355 Albemarle Square and reopening November 7th at 1101 Seminole Trail in the Seminole Square Shopping Center. The new location, which will serve lunch daily, will also feature a new building design and expanded menu offerings.

"There are a lot of exciting changes underway, from opening for lunch to a new option for preparing steaks, using a wood-fired grill," said Brent Lunnen, Managing Partner of Outback Steakhouse in Charlottesville. "We have a beautiful new restaurant and a new interactive bar area. We can't wait to show Charlottesville what's going on at Outback."

The new exterior signals change while maintaining elements of the original design. The "Modern Australia" design features two outdoor dining patios, one exposing heavy timber detailing, and both featuring louvers and screens.

Inside, guests are greeted in a space with a tall ceiling with several elements that make the room warm and inviting. The large, open ceiling features heavy timber and light fixtures that suspend light bulbs above and below the timbers. The inviting lobby showcases spices used in the kitchen, and a video entertains with footage shot in the Australian Outback. The dining room features décor that accents the indigenous flora and fauna, adventure, geography and leisure of modern Australia.

The new restaurant also features the Out Front Bar within the traditional bar area. This open area allows guests to watch the creation of hand-crafted cocktails and the completion of items from a new menu of small plates. The bar also features customized seating and furnishings and is connected to one of two outdoor dining patios.

In the kitchen, the restaurant has added a new wood-fired grill giving guests a choice of two preparations, seared or lightly seasoned and flame-grilled over oak wood.

"Loyal Outback fans may still order their classic "seasoned and seared" preparation, but now they can enjoy a grilled flavor if that sounds more inticing," said Lunnen. Both choices are made from steaks that are hand-selected, perfectly aged and hand-trimmed for excellence.

For guests seeking an alternative to steak, new menu offerings include Crispy Chicken Artichoke Flatbread Aussie-Tizer®, Aussie Chicken Cobb Salad and Hearts of Gold Mahi.

Call ahead seating is available by calling the restaurant at 434-975-4329. Cubside Takeaway is available online or by phone. For more information about Outback Steakhouse, please visit www.Outback.com,facebook.com/outback or follow us on Twitter@Outback.
