Monticello High School Teacher Competes on Jeopardy!

Posted: Updated:

Wednesday night, a Monticello High School teacher is competing for big bucks on the Jeopardy! "Teachers Tournament".  Chemistry teacher Michael Farabaugh will appear at 7:30 p.m. on NBC29.

Before taping the show, he spoke with us about some of his strengths and weaknesses.

"Word play and science would be good categories for me," Farabaugh said.  "But I'm definitely working on strengthening categories that I'm not so strong in. I'm learning more about things like opera and Shakespeare and stuff like that."

Farabaugh also shared his strategy to stay cool as the contest heats up.  He said, "If I can just pretend that I'm in the living room, and just play it the same way, and not get too focused on the lights and the cameras, I think I'll be okay."

Tune in to cheer him on, and see how far Farabaugh makes it.
