Charlottesville Football Preps for Playoff Rematch

Posted: Updated:

One of the most interesting first round playoff games is set to take place this Friday as the Charlottesville Black Knights will take on Western Albemarle.

It's a rematch of one of the most entertaining and high scoring games that took place during the regular season.

A month ago - Western Albemarle beat Charlottesville 50-49 in Crozet.

Junior running back, Chris Thurston said, "Friday night we just want to come out strong. Come out better than we played before against Western Albemarle. This game should be a big one. Hopefully we just make it to the next level. Stay the family that we are and keep going throughout everything"

Senior Quarterback, Rashard Davis said, "It'll just show that we aren't the same team that they played earlier in the year and it'll just show that we've built from our mistakes."

Head Coach Eric Sherry added, "We're trying to stick to the fundamentals because last time we played Western - we didn't play very good defense. So we gotta concentrate more on our tackling and understanding our keys and just playing better overall fundamental football."
