The Virginia Department of Transportation is hosting a series of public meetings on its six-year transportation plan. Monday night VDOT heard from various localities in the valley at a public meeting in Verona.
Augusta County is the second largest county in Virginia, so supervisor Jeff Moore says that much space is covered by more than just primary roads.
Augusta County Supervisor Jeff Moore said, "We have a lot of secondary roads. A lot of gravel roads. A lot of dirt roads. There's a lot of road needs that require money."
The Commonwealth Transportation Board will consider the input before it approves a new plan next spring.
