The UVA women's soccer team found out Monday afternoon they are a number 2 seed for the NCAA tournament and will host LaSalle Friday at 6 p.m. in the first round of play.

The Cavaliers earned an automatic bid to the tournament by winning the ACC championship Sunday in Raleigh.

The 'Hoos earned their first conference title since 2004 as they beat Maryland 4-0.

Morgan Brian and Caroline Miller each had a goal and an assist.

The 'Hoos enter the NCAA tournament red-hot having beaten five straight ranked opponents.

ACC Player of the Year, Caroline Miller said, "We've just been so fired up lately that we could be playing Stanford first round and everyone would feel confident that we were going to win that game...I said the other day that winning the ACC's is every kids dream, because it is. But this would be that on overload."

Sophomore Midfielder, Morgan Brian added, "Right now our team is peaking at the right time. We're playing great soccer and its the best time to peak going into the NCAA tournament. We just got our bid into the tournament so that's a great thing - the team is positive right now."
