Virginia State Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run, which injured an elderly man near Staunton Monday afternoon.
According to police, 79-year-old Edsel Meryl Hosaflook was blowing leaves along Berry Farm Road just north of Staunton around 3:15 p.m. when he was struck by an unknown driver. The car flipped on to its top, and the driver got out and ran from the scene.
Hosaflook was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center. He is listed in serious condition.
Police have not released a description of the driver yet.
