A week after losing his starting spot, fifth-year junior quarterback Justin Thorpe came off the bench to lead #10 James Madison to a 31-7 win at Maine.
Thorpe ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns in relief of true freshman Michael Birdsong, and also completed 9-of-12 passes for 108 yards and a TD.
Former R.E. Lee star Dae'Quan Scott led the Dukes with 121 yards rushing and a touchdown on 23 carries.
JMU (7-2, 5-1 CAA) rushed for 314 yards as a team, while holding the Bears to 104 total yards and three turnovers.
The Dukes return to action at Villanova next Saturday at 1pm.
