Augusta Abduction Case Delayed Due to Conflict of Interest

A woman accused of helping abduct a victim at gunpoint in Augusta County must find a new attorney.

Misty Dawn Sorrells, 26, was set for a jury trial Wednesday on abduction and firearms charges. But the public defender's office cited a conflict; it's representing the alleged victim in an unrelated case.

Sorrells is one of three people arrested in January, after a woman was taken from her hotel room. She was released several hours later.

One of the suspects has already pleaded guilty.
