UVA Looks To Break 6 Game Losing Streak By Forcing Turnovers

The Cavalier football team was off Monday, but the guys will likely practice in the rain Tuesday to prepare for Saturday's game at N.C. State.

The 'hoos had a bye this past weekend which gave the guys an extra week to have to sit on a 6-game losing skid.

Head coach, Mike London said, "we desperately need to win a game we want to play and win a game. We want the guys to understand that when you get those balls, when you intercept them or you cause a fumble - those are game changers. A lot of emphasis was made on that."

Wahoo players were not allowed to attend today's weekly press conference because all activities this afternoon for student athletes were suspended due to the threat Hurricane Sandy.

London says the team has made good use of this bye week. London added, "These are a series of one game playoffs or whatever you want to call them. These games are bowl games for us right now. I mean we have to win these games. This game that's presented to us. That's how we have to look at it. There's so many things you want to do with the development of the younger players but you also want to have the opportunity to be competitive and to win some games at the end."
