Zombies Chase Humans During Third Zombie Run

Humans and zombies battled it out Sunday on the downtown mall in Charlottesville for the third Zombie Run.

Participants either came dressed as zombies or as humans. The humans got a 90 second head start in the race and tried to outrun zombies in order to survive. If a zombie took a human's red tag, which symbolized blood, it meant they became a zombie too.

The first human and zombie to finish the race won awards in the shape of skull heads. There were also awards given to the best female and male costumes and the zombie with the most kills.
