An Augusta County woman is homeless after an early morning fire. The blaze broke out around 5:30 a.m. Friday on Black Bear Lane near Crimora.
Firefighters say the lone occupant awoke to find her mobile home full of smoke. She escaped without harm and flagged down a passing driver, who called 911.
Investigators believe the flames started in a bedroom, but spread through most of the home. The Red Cross is helping the victim make temporary living arrangements.
