One person has died in an accident at a limestone quarry Thursday. Staunton police say an employee was killed in an industrial accident involving a piece of machinery.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. the Staunton Police Department received a 911 call, reporting that a 70-year-old male was trapped in a rock crusher at Staunton Lime at 251 National Avenue.
Donald Lee Reese, of Raphine, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is still under investigation.
There are no further details about the accident, which will be investigated by the Virginia Department of Labor.
