The Augusta County treasurer faces a drunk-driving charge after Virginia State Police stopped him on Interstate 81 near Harrisonburg.
Sixty-one-year-old Richard Homes is charged with first-offense DUI.
On October 5, a trooper pulled him over after reportedly watching him drive slowly and weave back and forth.
Homes is in his third term as Augusta County's elected treasurer. We reached him at his office Wednesday afternoon, but he declined to comment on the case.
Homes goes before a judge on November 15.
