Two big projects are in the spotlight for the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library. Extending Greene County Library hours to 48 hours a week and the additional staff needed to open the Crozet Library topped talks at a library board meeting Monday afternoon.
The meeting gave board members and the public an opportunity to chime in and discuss options.
"At this point, it's really discussion and then in November the library board will put together its formal budget document," said JMRL Director John Halliday.
Staffing the Crozet Library would take $76,000 and lengthening the hours of the Greene County Library would cost $14,000. Additional meetings will be held over the next few months and a final decision is scheduled for spring 2013.
